Q: Why am I such a bitch?
A: I'm not. People just need to get to know the "real Ashley,” the one that is not on television.
Q: Why did you leave the show?
A: After nine seasons, who knew what would happen with season 10.
Q: If season 10 comes back, would you be on it?
Q: Do you still work at the store?
A: No. I started my own business six months ago where I bring the hottest trends in jewelry to my clients at PawnChickShopping.com. I also launched PawnChickRadio.com that hosts my podcasts with amazing celebrities and this blog.
Q: How did you lose all that weight?
A: I started slowly by cutting things out of my daily food life. Then I started running.
Q: What made you want to lose the weight?
A: I was about to explode and needed to take the weight off. It wasn’t a healthy lifestyle, and it wasn’t a good example for my kids.
Q: Are you happy?
A: I’ve never been happier! I'm living my life the way I want, running a business that I've always dreamt of and being home with my family as much as possible. What could be better?
Q: If you were to do the show again from the start, would you?
A: It has afforded me many great opportunities that I wouldn’t have been able to do without the show. While I'm beyond grateful for that, if I had to do it all over again, I would say ‘no’.
Q: Do you miss working at the pawnshop?
A: I miss my favorite customers and I miss the excitement that came through the doors with each item, but it was definitely time to move on to the next chapter.
Q: Do you sell anything used?
A: Nothing is used and everything is 100% new, trendy, and stylish. I am always keeping up with the times.
Q: Were you always mean?
A: People have to understand that they only saw 22 minutes of a reality television show. Would you want to always watch people getting along? No, right? So, we made it interesting to watch. Throughout the past year, I have repositioned myself so people can see who the real Ashley is.
Q: What's next for you?
A: Stick around because I have several incredible developments in the works. You are going to be blown away.
Q: Is there a book?
A: If there is, what should I title it?
Q: Would you ever open a storefront?
A: For what? People trust my taste and my judgment on fashion and jewelry. Online is the fastest and easiest way to shop. I'm staying here for now.
Q: How did you come up with the name "Pawn Chick Shopping?"
A: I started a podcast nearly two years ago and it's called Pawn Chick Radio. So rather than completely rebranding, I stuck with the Pawn Chick theme and added on ‘Shopping’. It works!
Q: Do you design your jewelry?
A: Most of the pieces that I wear I have designed myself, and many of the pieces that I carry have been designed by me as well.
Q: Do you ever make deals?
A: Everywhere I go I make deals. My clients know that I'm always up for negotiating.
Q: A half-marathon in October?
A: It's always been on my bucket list and I do not fail. I may pass out... but failing isn't an option.
Q: How much have you lost?
A: Almost 60 lbs.
Q: What motivated you?
A: I didn't like me and therefore something needed to change.
Q: Any last words?
A: Don't settle if you don't have to. The world is your canvas. Paint whatever you want!
